Tania N. Shah was born and raised in Southern California. Tania is a published author, a practicing attorney, the owner and founder of a legal tutorial company, and a professor of law. Tania began practicing in the area of business law subsequent to graduating from law school and shortly thereafter formed LawTutors, LLC, a private legal education company. Tania has been practicing in the area of business law for 15 years, handling areas of both transactional business needs of corporations, corporate legal compliance,  and complex business litigation. Tania represents a vast array of clients, developing a particular niche in IT and software development companies.

Tania graduated from University of California, Berkeley obtaining a B.A. in Rhetoric with High Honors and a B.S. in Environmental Economics with High Honors, finishing out her college years as U.C. Berkeley’s College of Natural Science’s Commencement Speaker. Deciding to switch coasts and expand her options, Tania attended Boston University School of Law where she became Executive Editor of the Journal of Science and Technology and won a seat on the National Moot Court Team after becoming Boston University’s Moot Court Finalist.

Throughout her legal career, Tania has made and continues to make positive and unique contributions in the legal community. In 2008 Tania began publishing under Aspen Publishers her unique bar exam book series titled “What Not to Write” (based on her favorite TV Show, “What Not to Wear”). Tania published her book series for Massachusetts, California and New York. Additionally, Tania updated Aspen’s “Blonds Multistate Book” for the MBE and served on the editorial advisory committee for the Rigos MPRE Book. Tania earned the 2010 Silver Shingle Young Lawyer’s Chair Award for outstanding dedication to the legal community and will be a featured Alumni in Boston University School of Law’s 2013 Alumni Magazine.

Tania caught the attention of several other legal education company and was recruited to lecture for Emanuel Bar Prep, Casebriefs, and Themis Bar Review. Tania has lectured all over the country, including Boston, New York, California, Florida and North Carolina.

Tania was recruited in 2009 by Southern New England School of Law, where she assisted in raising their bar passage rate significantly so that they may become a public university (University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth School of Law) and eventually gain accreditation (granted in 2012). In 2011 Tania was asked to assist in developing a 1L Program at U. Mass Dartmouth while continuing her bar passage endeavors. In spring of 2012, Tania became an Adjunct Professor at Boston University School of Law and in fall of 2012 her company, LawTutors, began consulting with Suffolk University School of Law.  Tania became an Adjunct Professor with Suffolk Law in the Fall of 2013 while continuing to consult on bar passage efforts. In 2015, Tania became a legal instructor with Washington University School of Law assisting in their LLM and Masters program.
